1. The first Korean styling versus American styling item we will discuss is leggings. Usually, all women around the world are in love with leggings. And I like this item and my number one item if I have to choose one. Leggings are comfortable, stylish, and basically, you can wear them every day, anytime and anywhere. If I compare leggings with American style, you will see that in state legging is all about hip line or shape. And in state leggings usually wear with a just t-shirt or with the short top.
But in Korea, they not wear legging with only a concise top. Korean girls typically wear it with a t-shirt and cover on the crotch area that will be long enough to cover that. Most importantly, Korean girls cover their hip line. This is especially so, in the day time, when they walk around if Korean girls are wearing legging with a short top, everybody shares down there at the crotch. So Korean girls avoid it.
2. The second Korean styling versus American styling item is revealing clothes; it’s not a particular item. But I guess you know just really sexy clothes or revealing clothes in Korea is not acceptable. In a state, it’s fine to show a little bit of cleavage. It’s no problem to wear a miniskirt or revealing clothes outside. But in Korea, it’s different.
If you are going to club or going to your lounge party or if you are going to those cool places at night, drink with your girls and have fun then it’s fine no matter what you wear. But in day time if you wear revealing clothes or wearing a t-shirt which is showing your cleavage, then everybody includes men and women will stare at you like a crazy person. Koreans people are still conservative. It’s essential to cover your cleavage and not wear too short dresses when you are going around or using public transportation.
At the same time, modern girls do not follow tradition and love to wear t-shirts like paint pot spaghetti-strap tube tops. If you visit Korea, you will see modern girls wearing revealing clothes, especially miniskirts or pot spaghetti-strap tube tops. Another one Korean modern girls usually wear tight lip sleep trust dresses, it doesn’t show your cleavage, but it shows your body silhouette or body light modern girls used to wear that too.
3. Now let’s talk about TPO, and you all know that TPO is essential in fashion. TPO stands for time place and occasions. And the difference is that, for example, like funerals in Korea, you have to take off your shoes when you get-go in their service. And at the funeral, you have to wear all black. It’s the same in American they wear black too. The difference is Korean people wear calm color or black socks, and most importantly, Korean people don’t wear revealing clothes at funerals. But in the state, you can wear a beautiful dress, and you can even show a little cleavage.
But in Korea, you will not see the girls wearing tight dresses or showing cleavage. And Korean people don’t wear hats at funerals but in a state at funerals peoples wear some classy hats. But in Korea it’s not good to wear hats, it’s not acceptable.
Another thing is TPL, in a state when they are in the office, they wear slippers in the car, or they wear something very comfortable. But when they are getting in the office, they change to heels or something conservative. But in Korean, it’s kind of different; Korean people wear comfortable shoes in the office. Even in most companies, employees are allowed to wear slippers. Because they like they want to comfort when they work. When Korean employs have some important meetings or if they are meeting the clients or they are going to meet someone else for work then they, of course, they wear something conservative like heals.

While styling, you should know what your flaws are. Like for me, I look fat in dark colors, so I never wear dark colors.
Make sure when you are wearing revealing clothes, it must be balanced. Like if you are wearing sexy top then try to wear cover-up bottom and vise versa
Lamb rock is one of the popular Korean fashion styles. Try to put a point or action accents to your fashion kind of punkish on accessories. Even if you are wearing just jeans and a shirt, try to accent it with accessories.
